Probably once a taller table shortened to become a coffee table. (Coffee tables did not exist in China of yesteryear.) This antique Chinese table features interesting rounded leg extenders and curved aprons between each of the legs. The flying spandrels are at each corner. The rounded legs coordinate with the rounded leg extenders. Light brown finish allows the wood grain to be revealed.
